It&#8217;s a French solution that guarantees data hosted in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a Cloud solution with a pay-per-use model and storage volume. It can be set up extremely quickly.<\/p>\n<p>The Data Warehouse will contain the data on which Tableau Software will be able to work. It guarantees high export speeds.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"h-l-etl-fivetran\">ETL Fivetran<\/h3>\n<p>ETL stands for Extract &#8211; Transform and Load. For example, the &#8220;Account &amp; Contacts&#8221; report in Salesforce.<\/p>\n<p>Here, we need to select the database tables containing the data of interest. Then link these tables with the right keys.<\/p>\n<p>In our example, we&#8217;ll link the following Marketo tables:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Leads each record being identified by the &#8220;Id&#8221; field<\/li>\n<li>Activity_Click_Email which is the table containing Marketo&#8217;s activity log actions relating to clicks in emails. Here I choose:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the activity date from which I retain only the time.<\/li>\n<li>and I build the day of the week based on the same field thanks to a calculated field<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I then choose to count the &#8220;Id&#8221; of the Activity_Click_Email table.<\/p>\n<p>Tableau offers me different representations and I opt for the heat map.<\/p>\n<p>I add filters and name my report.<\/p>\n<p>I can do the same with email opens, then put the two reconciliations together, and I have my first Marketing dashboard. \u2728\ud83c\udf89<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-le-reporting-doit-etre-a-la-main-du-marketing\">Reporting must be in Marketing&#8217;s hands<\/h2>\n<p>It&#8217;s pretty much accepted everywhere that marketing needs to be in control of its marketing campaigns, hence the emergence of marketing automation solutions.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re not there yet for business intelligence, but that&#8217;s the way things are going.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m convinced that, in the next few years, marketing teams will have a firm grip on their business intelligence environment.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, the IT department must be involved in :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the choice of solution, but speed of implementation and the fact that marketing can appropriate the solutions must be two essential criteria<\/li>\n<li>compliance and security of solutions, since it&#8217;s company data that&#8217;s going to end up in third-party tools. But modern solutions offer satisfactory levels of security, with data stored in continental Europe<\/li>\n<li>the IT department can control the perimeter of data authorized for export, to ensure that certain sensitive data does not leave the company.<\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>But once these steps have been taken, marketing needs to be able to easily export data, combine it, build any report.<\/p>\n<p>Marketing has come under increasing pressure in recent years to justify its role and its contribution to revenue. Il est n&amp;eacute;cessaire d&amp;rsquo;intercaler un Data Warehouse entre Marketo et la solution de reporting pour b&amp;eacute;n&amp;eacute;ficier de :    Une sauvegarde de Marketo    Un historique complet des donn&amp;eacute;es comportementales de Marketo    Des performances &amp;eacute;lev&amp;eacute;es permettant de faire des rapports en temps r&amp;eacute;el    Les diff&amp;eacute;rentes briques  Tableau Software  C'est une solution de reporting appartenant &amp;agrave; la galaxie Salesforce, parmi les meilleures du march&amp;eacute;.  Il va vous permettre de construire n'importe quel rapport &amp;agrave; partir des donn&amp;eacute;es des sources sauvegard&amp;eacute;es dans le data warehouse.  Parmi les concurrents, on trouvera Clickview, PowerBI (Microsoft), Looker..  C&amp;rsquo;est dans cette solution que nous construirons le tableau de bord marketing.  Le Data Warehouse Snowflake  Nous avons choisi snowflake chez Merlin\/Leonard pour notre Data Warehouse. C'est une solution fran&amp;ccedil;aise qui garantit des donn&amp;eacute;es h&amp;eacute;berg&amp;eacute;es en Europe.  C'est une solution Cloud avec un mod&amp;egrave;le de paiement &amp;agrave; la consommation et volume de stockage. Elle peut &amp;ecirc;tre mise en place extr&amp;ecirc;mement rapidement.  Le Data Warehouse va contenir les donn&amp;eacute;es sur lesquelles Tableau Software va pouvoir travailler. Il garantit des d&amp;eacute;bits importants &amp;agrave; l'export.  L&amp;rsquo;ETL Fivetran  ETL signifie Extract - Transform and Load. C'est une solution qui va se connecter &amp;agrave; diff&amp;eacute;rentes sources comme Marketo ou Salesforce, et se connecter de l'autre c&amp;ocirc;t&amp;eacute; &amp;agrave; des bases de donn&amp;eacute;es comme Snowflake.  La qualit&amp;eacute; d'un ETL tient au nombre de sources auxquelles il peut se connecter nativement et au nombre de bases de donn&amp;eacute;es qu'il peut alimenter sans d&amp;eacute;veloppement.  Nous avons choisi Fivetran chez Merlin\/Leonard car il se connecte nativement &amp;agrave; Marketo et &amp;agrave; Salesforce nativement.  Cr&amp;eacute;ation du tableau de bord marketing dans Tableau Software  Connexion sur la source de donn&amp;eacute;es  C&amp;rsquo;est la premi&amp;egrave;re &amp;eacute;tape, qui se fait simplement en choisissant Snowflake comme source, puis en indiquant les identifiants de connexion.  On acc&amp;egrave;de alors aux bases et aux sch&amp;eacute;mas de donn&amp;eacute;es h&amp;eacute;berg&amp;eacute;s dans Snowflake.  Pour l&amp;rsquo;exemple, j&amp;rsquo;ai choisi le sch&amp;eacute;ma Marketo.  D&amp;eacute;finition de l&amp;rsquo;univers de reporting  C'est une &amp;eacute;tape que nous ne faisons pas quand nous travaillons dans Salesforce ou Marketo car les univers de reporting sont d&amp;eacute;finis &amp;agrave; l'avance. Par exemple le rapport &amp;laquo; Account  Contacts&amp;rdquo; dans Salesforce.  Ici, il va falloir choisir les tables de la base contenant les donn&amp;eacute;es int&amp;eacute;ressantes. Puis lier ces tables avec les bonnes cl&amp;eacute;s.  Dans notre exemple, nous allons lier les tables de Marketo suivantes :    Leads chaque enregistrement &amp;eacute;tant identifi&amp;eacute;s par le champs &amp;ldquo;Id&amp;rdquo;    Activity_Click_Email qui est la table contenant les actions de l&amp;rsquo;activity log de Marketo relatives aux clicks dans les emails. Le lien se fera via le champs Lead_Id de la table    Cr&amp;eacute;ation du rapport  Tableau Software nous permet de choisir simplement les lignes et les colonnes &amp;agrave; afficher dans notre rapport. Ici je choisis:    la date d&amp;rsquo;activit&amp;eacute; dont je ne retiens que l&amp;rsquo;heure.    et je construis le jour de la semaine sur la base du m&amp;ecirc;me champ gr&amp;acirc;ce &amp;agrave; un champ calcul&amp;eacute;    Je choisis ensuite de compter les &amp;ldquo;Id&amp;rdquo; de la table Activity_Click_Email.  Tableau me propose diff&amp;eacute;rentes repr&amp;eacute;sentations et j&amp;rsquo;opte pour la carte de chaleur.  J&amp;rsquo;ajoute des filtres, je nomme mon rapport.  Je peux faire la m&amp;ecirc;me chose avec les ouvertures d&amp;rsquo;emails, puis j&amp;rsquo;assemble les deux rapports, et j&amp;rsquo;ai mon premier tableau de bord Marketing. \u2728\ud83c\udf89  Le reporting doit &amp;ecirc;tre &amp;agrave; la main du Marketing  Il est &amp;agrave; peu pr&amp;egrave;s admis partout que le marketing doit avoir la main sur ses campagnes marketing, d'o&amp;ugrave; l&amp;rsquo;&amp;eacute;mergence des solutions de marketing automation.  Nous n&amp;rsquo;en sommes pas encore l&amp;agrave; pour la business intelligence mais c&amp;rsquo;est le sens de l&amp;rsquo;histoire.  Ma conviction est que dans les prochaines ann&amp;eacute;es, les &amp;eacute;quipes marketing auront la main sur leur environnement de business intelligence.  Bien s&amp;ucirc;r la DSI doit intervenir dans :    le choix de la solution, mais la rapidit&amp;eacute; de mise en oeuvre et le fait que le marketing puisse s&amp;rsquo;approprier les solutions doivent &amp;ecirc;tre deux crit&amp;egrave;res essentiels    la &amp;ldquo;compliance&amp;rdquo; et la s&amp;eacute;curit&amp;eacute; des solutions puisque ce sont des donn&amp;eacute;es de l&amp;rsquo;entreprise qui vont se retrouver dans des outils tiers. Mais les solutions modernes proposent des niveaux de s&amp;eacute;curit&amp;eacute; satisfaisants, avec des donn&amp;eacute;es stock&amp;eacute;es en Europe continentale.    la DSI peut avoir la main sur le p&amp;eacute;rim&amp;egrave;tre de donn&amp;eacute;es autoris&amp;eacute;es &amp;agrave; &amp;ecirc;tre export&amp;eacute;es, afin de garantir que certaines donn&amp;eacute;es sensibles ne sortent pas de l&amp;rsquo;entreprise.    Mais une fois ces &amp;eacute;tapes pass&amp;eacute;es, le marketing doit &amp;ecirc;tre capable d&amp;rsquo;exporter facilement les donn&amp;eacute;es, de les combiner, de construire n&amp;rsquo;importe quel rapport.  La marketing a vu la pression augmenter ces derni&amp;egrave;res ann&amp;eacute;es pour justifier son r&amp;ocirc;le et sa contribution au revenu.
